Anime7 is an awesome dude and a great friend. He gives great advice and is always willing to listen. He's not afraid to crack a joke now and then too :)
dom180 is a good chap, he has some intricate opinions. He's intelligent and it's always interesting to read what he has to say. He has great objectiveness and a solidarity about him that is admirable.
Sweet_brown seems like a good user. I don't know her too well.
dirtybirdy is always one of my favorites. She makes me laugh often and is a great friend on here. She doesn't take any crap from anyone and I admire that about her. She gives great advice too.
jeebley is a good user. I remember him a bit.
Freedom seems like a good user too. I've seen a few funny comments by him I think.
Jayy has been here for while. I remember his username.
gummy_jr is a pretty funny guy. I think he has a good sense of humor and gives good advice too. He's a good addition to the community.
handsignals can be very terse. I have seen him say some good and some bad things I think.
RoseIsabella seems like a sweetheart. I enjoy seeing her username on here.
Who_Fan4Life is an awesome user. He can be cantankerous sometimes. He is a great long time user of the community here, and has been funny in the chat room when I've stopped by.
Next will be on the users of posts I go through today:
thegypsysailor is a great user to this site. He generally tries to make helpful comments and I think he gives mostly good advice. It is interesting hearing him talk about his life on the sea as well. Glad to have you here dude.
Sog is a good user.
SHAKEStheClown makes me laugh.
ItDuz is unique. He is strongly opinionated (which is a good thing). There have been some epic debates by him on here and I usually find myself getting sucked in to whatever book of text he has written for the day. Very interesting fellow and a great user on this site. He's pissed some people off before too and I find that funny.
jenniferhotpants is my MOST favorite newest user. I doubt she'll stick around, but I'm rooting for her all the way. Wow at you jennifer! That was a sleezeball thing for your husband to do, but you replied in a dignified and respectable manner. I admire that.
Energy is a fantastic user. I have seen him say some profound things on here and it is good to see him still here as well.
charli.m is a wonderful user on here. I admire her greatly and she makes me laugh often. She supports this site quite a bit and that shouldn't go unnoticed. She always seems to know when I make new posts somehow... Lol. It is great to know she is still here :)

She is one of the nicest and most friendly people and she makes me laugh often too. I really enjoy her presence on here. I am glad you are still here LornaMae :)
Holzman_67 this guy is very intelligent and is a great user here. He gives great advice and is funny too! Plus his username feels familiar to me even though they're not THAT similar.

dickwashington has been here for a while. He has his ups and downs I think. Good user.
bananaface is a very well liked user here. She is nice and has a timid personality, but she's not afraid to speak her mind either. She makes me laugh, and it's good to see her still on here too.

Legion is curious. He's been here for a long time.
Avant-Garde is quite the fair lady. Extravagant is the language of her tongue and I do enjoy the words she uses and the stories she tells :)
kingofcarrotflowers is a gamer. He's cool and gives good advice too. We share some similarities, so I feel like I can relate with much of what he says.
thisissomuchfun is one of the ancients :P She is definitely one of my favorites and seeing her comment always brightens my spirits.
ScooterNyne I remember you too.
bugsforbreakfast is a great user here. I have seen this person give great advice and they make me laugh sometimes too.

Yeah, Jweezee (totally typo'd that w earlier...) is awesome. He has the best puns. Funny guy and I'm really glad whenever he drops by now and then.
Tommythecat is a good guy. He's clever and I've seen him give helpful advice. When he first arrived here, I wasn't sure if he was one of the good users or not. He seems to be more positive in general nowadays.

In a way I agree that these threads are not helpful, but at least it shows people are interested in the community aspect of IIN again. I feel like the time these threads stopped appearing was around the same time a lot of people felt like IIN had started losing it's community feel. It's correlation more than causation, but it can still be indicative that the community is becoming more important again.
I feel like you can also trace that decline back to around the time a number of individual users left (the sort of people who have already started having their names dropped in this thread despite not having left a comment for about a year), but it's another story. That's correlation too.
This is the truth. A portion of the drama around all the "popularity contest" threads we used to get about a year ago was caused deliberately by a small number of well-known troublemakers (who have now left) who were working more tirelessly than anyone could have expected behind the scenes trying to cause trouble in paradise. The sort of "power games" we used to get in this community. I just can't imagine that happening anymore, which is a testament to the fact that IIN has come quite a long way. None of that is to say that no-one gets hurt by not having their presence recognised, especially users who might feel alienated from perceived "cliques", but I think there will be less drama now than there was before because no-one wants drama this time round :)
Sorry for the short essay :P I only planned to write a short comment but as soon as I get onto topics like the History of IIN I just can't stop talking and saying more than I should.

Well let me just start off that I don't really recall much of the history of IIN but I think it is sort of cool that you do.
I understand that like this thread does show that people do care about the community on here but I would rather it not be a popularity contest. I remember that there was a post like this which just said something like "If there's something that you want to tell another user on here well now's your chance." And you know what happened? There was a ton of love. Users declaring how awesome it was that so and so was here. Other users admitting that they can be mean sometimes but really hope that they don't come off as hateful. I want something like that. I want us to just like say that like "hey we're all weirdos, so lets be weird together."
I mean yeah some users have left, but we got some new ones as well who seem to be making their own mark on this site, thegypsysailor and TheGhostofReason to name two. I'm not saying the community is perfect, but I'm just saying that we're getting some good additions to the community.
I really don't recall any "power games" that occurred on this site to be honest.
I guess then I'll end by saying that yes, I can understand that at least by posting this we can get an interest in the community. But that's really it, just an interest. I doubt that this post will actually do anything to diminish the whole "there are cliques are IIN" mindset that some people have. Not saying that you claimed this post would.

Do you remember the user Atlantis that was trying to stir up trouble a couple months ago? That was the only time when a random stranger on a website made me consider not using its services anymore. Other than that one incident I really like this website. It is the only site that I log into almost everyday.

He was extremely condescending and egotistical to the point that it was hard to tell if he was actually trolling or being insanely serious. He rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. I used some of my old emails to send in multiple complaints about his blatantly harsh flaming and harassment until he got his IP address banned from this website. He did not know me yet yet he started making up rumors that I molested children and that I should be reported to the authorities just because I disagreed with his harshness towards other members. It crossed the line of annoying internet trolling into the realm of harassment . He tried to make a new user name and pretend it was me, things like that.

Hmmmm, I'm conflicted.
As I've said before on IIN I've been told in the past outside of this site that I can occasionally be emotionally....distant, despite feeling that being here has helped me open up a bit I feel I am still this way somewhat therefore I was about to say that the users I like would be aware of my feeling towards them but now I'm not too sure.This makes me want to list users and tell them how I feel but I have a ridiculously bad memory and am afraid of missing people out that I would 100% put on the list.
