People who are with a church are always well taken care of. Become successful and the people running them are always really well off.

I can barely get a poor paying job right now and I never had a lot of family or friends that could help me out. I just wish I cared more about church cause if I did maybe I would be able to make some decent money in a job helping other people and I would have some friends and I would be able to help my family out.

        Sometimes, but not quite often enough. This is embarrassing to admit it but it's often too crowded for me. "Joining a church" that is like a social club and full of that prosperity gospel would be a nightmare for me!

    Interesting, I've never heard that before.
    If that is truly why "I can barely get a poor paying job", then I'd rush right out and join a church. But it might be a lot more productive to get some training in a field where employees are always needed, or get an education.
    Not too many successful people I have known (and I've known a fair few who owned the multimillion dollar yachts I ran for them) have given credit to anything other than very hard work.

      People running the churches like priests, ministers are always well off and seem to make good money. However I would find taking a job like that not knowing enough about religion would be immoral.

    If you go to church because you sense that it is good for you you will soon feel "well taken care of". If you go there because you want to be well taken care of, however, I doubt you'll get what you are looking for.

    Pastors generally don't make a whole lot of money, as they are fully supported by tythes and donations, and have to pay off their education like the rest of us. Wealthy pastors have very large churches and/or have been on the job for a long time. It's a profession more focused on giving than recieving.

      Well I have known actual ministers and preachers that have 3 story houses and a family of 5. With that seeming to be the only job they have.
