Is it normal i write giant posts but never post them?

By the time I get done writing them I just don't even feel like posting them.

I do this. More than anything, it feels so good to get the shit out of my system and to see it all written down, that I don't even need to ask the question any more.

  • That seems like a giant waste of time to me. :/

Why not post them? You can delete them anytime you like. Maybe we'd get a few more interesting and genuine stories that way.
I can understand why, though. Often the act of writing feels quite therapeutic in itself. Once you've worded things and see them on a screen, you can look at them a bit more objectively.

If you feel like venting, I would sugguest keeping a journal. That's what I do. Or why don't you post those stories so people can comment? Often times I don't care so much if something's normal or not, but I'm curious to see what people will say. I don't like a lot of the comments I get (2 of my posts have gotten comments that are basically insulting me), but I don't let it get to me since these people don't know me.

  • I appreciate the shortness of your post :)

Not in my eyes. If I write a War and Peace sized post that suckers going through since I dedicated so much time to it.

But you can be sure that anyone who's constantly writing long winded posts is grasping at straws for anyone to tell them they're ok; to give them some measure of peace that they don't possess internally.
