Is it normal if i dream about getting my throat slit during sex everyday?

I dream about my throat being slit by my partner who in the dream is dressed up as a serial killer while I'm dressed up as the victim. You might think this is messed up but I think this is quite interesting that I had dreamt this it feels really satisfying to even be thinking about the dream. Sometimes I wonder what can happen in real life, most of the time I'm dreaming about this particular thing anyways but as far as I know some might say this is normal and some might say this is not normal ( which I guess is understandable ), so I was wondering if I could get your say with your comments down below if you think there's a normal in what I am saying.

  • I think it's a natural, archaic, primal desire

A natural desire to be murdered? Care to explain?

      • Well, a woman screaming sets an alarm off in most men's heads; women are also physically less empowered than men

So, over long periods of time, women needed to be protected and men needed to protect, so there's that natural, archaic, primal desire to be protected

It's been discussed here how breaking taboo is exciting, even sexual, so to willingly be put in a situation where a woman feels threatened for her life, in a primal filter being raped and murdered, would be a sexual thrill because she's acting out what her instincts want to protect her from, she's breaking that taboo to fulfill that threatened feeling she's craving, and it's safe because it's a partner fulfilling that role for her, so she can naturally acclimate and ultimately climax from putting her body through those triggers

Agreed, that’s a pretty good way to put it.

The other character in the Op’s post may share something there. Some experts are gearing at sexual serial killers possibly being rooted in acting out a confused and disturbing combination of the “fight, fuck, flee” response. The first two driving the crimes committed, the last driving the measures to avoid apprehension. Fascinating.

          • I could agree to that on some degree because I do feel like it would take a certain mindset to have developed that way, a certain fuck you attitude

It could be hubris, it could be out of innocent ish need

Something seems genuine about the OP though, like I can trust to laugh at the antics as intentionally comedic ravings rather than subtle cues to mental illness
