Is it normal kids on cod drive me crazy!!!

It angers me so much when I get home from work, put on some cod, then get destroyed by some little kid that has nothing better to do and then chirp me for sucking even though without their "mommie" they can't even own/buy the game. It rattles me so much when parents buy these for their kids THERE IS A REASON ITS RATED M.

Since when did an M rating mean anything to anybody? You think kids should never watch r rated movies too? And nobody watches south park who is under 17?

If you get angry at their trolling, they win. You have to counter troll them and piss them off, it's really easy because they're just kids...or just mute their asses. There will always be kids playing video games, just accept it as a fact of life.

So what if it's rated M?

And a solution to your problem.
    Plug in mic.
    Don't put mic on.
Gratz, you will no longer hear little kids.

Or you could just play other games.

Personally, I think it's hilarious when a prepubescent kid is talking smack on call of duty and kicking everyone's ass at it. But I've also seen the other side of it where you can really tell that they definitely aren't mature enough to handle such a game and they do get annoying and whiny sometimes. It's not that hard to mute them though.

I am a firm believer that it's the parent's responsibility to determine if their kids are mature enough to handle a video game or not. So don't blame the kids, blame their sorry ass parents.

"So don't blame the kids, blame their sorry ass parents. "

      Oh, I like you.
Most of my peers (by the way, I am 20 so I am trying to figure out where it all went downhill) look at me strangely when I told them that I was not allowed to play games that were rated M until I was around 16-17 because my parents felt that I was too young and immature to handle that content.

They both worked full-time, but my father (who was a gamer himself) either pre-screened the content, looked online and read the reviews or asked his buddies who owned the game and my Mother, to some extent, did the same (although she was a bit more lenient). My parents also made frequent use of the V-chip. If it was rated as more mature than my age group and they didn't pre-screen it or they did and didn't like it, I was not allowed to watch it.

They say my parents were way to strict and protective of me but I disagree. I don't think that it is strict to moderate the content your children take in and try to keep it age-appropriate so they don't learn things that they can't handle at a certain age. Besides, I snuck family guy sometimes :D

A game is a game if it has blood in it then its virtual blood so who cares?

          Problem is, it looks real.
Most children don't have the mental processes necessary to distinguish fake from real, acceptable from unacceptable, and they become numb that that rush or high felt off of being able to see the effects of their violent actions, combine that with their near lack of ability to differentiate reality and what just looks real and you've got the starting point of desensitization.

And how do pixelated characters on the screen look real? lol

I'm not blaming video games, I am saying that they play a major role in desensitization to violence. I'm not saying that people should not take responsibility for their behavior but when you expose children to violence at such a young age they begin to believe that it is normal and numerous studies have shown that it does desensitize areas of the brain that respond to violence. I'm not saying that human nature has changed but to say that violence in modern society should be promoted towards children is nonsense.

And your second question is downright idiotic. The object of video game design for at least the past 7 years is to make the video game look at realistic as possible. How do pixelated characters on the screen look real? Do you play modern video games?

I play violent video games all the time I'm use to the violence in the game but I still respond to real life violence so please without any true evidence don't say things like this I think its silly to blame a video game when people have been violent for thousands of years if not more its in our nature to be violent the whole desensitization crap is starting to get on my nerves lets just stop blaming video game fantasy with peoples behavior it's the persons fault not the game I disagree with you 100%

Haha, thanks! I like you too ^_^

I was sheltered pretty hard myself, but I had a few ways of getting around the rules a bit. I wasn't even allowed to have a television in my room until I was about 12.

Lol you're one of those people that are labeled ''retarded'' aren't you?

You don't get the joke. And you probably never will.

I knew what it meant all the time, considering my friends play the game all the time.

        Good day to you sir.

Sometimes it's just not enough to be blatantly obvious. Disclaimers are becoming mandatory.

Most kids who play it are little faggots, they play it every chance they get, despite the game technically not being theirs, as their mums have had to buy it for them.

    Hi-larious.
You're getting your "ass kicked" at CoD by some kids, and you get mad about it. You obviously need to brush up your CoD skills, but enough about your suckage.

Kids are allowed to play the game, no matter how much you fail at it. Kids rage as much as mature people, as this post shows.

I didn't mean it's rated m for the violence I meant it's rated m because adults need to have something that isn't taken over by kids...

That pretty much sums up the COD community for you don't play COD then or any M rated or just exclude yourself from online gaming or better yet mute them.

  • I have been on the game a few times, and I haven't met alot of kids that are assholes, unless you mean teenagers.

If there are a bunch of teens making fun of someone else for not being good at the game, and the ba dplayer hasn't done anything wrong except not be good at a game, I usually tell the teens making fun of him shit.

Yes, that is what I meant. Also, I am not trying to start any fanboy wars here, but there are a lot more kids on the Xbox 360 than PS3. As to why, I'm not completely sure. I think more people have Xbox 360's than PS3's though, so that might have something to do with it.

You mad you keep losing at CoD bro?

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • I purposely go on the game and try to ruin the team missions once I am on a team and its all successfully put together. And I do my best to get into the obvious teenager set up servers and then start fights with them by calling them pussies and other stuff just so they get real mad, if that doesnt work I set booby traps all over the place and do my best to make sure the mission or capture the flag never succeeds.

Yeh thats right, who's the boss now? Not Tony Danza thats for damn sure.
