That must have been relieving.
Like waiting in a long line at the airport bathroom because your friend thought it would be funny to put poo poo meds in your latte.
Yes, I just compared sex to explosive diarrhea.
Wow. How lovley to wait for the right person and not feel pressured by other people. I applaued you. I was 16 I wasn't emotionally ready just wanted to get it over with, but no point in regrets I don't suppose. The past is over done with and gone. xx
14. It totally sucked. Shoulda waited. I think 21 is rad and shows....something...maturity. Maybe? More power to you. I ruined my life (well not ruined) by letting my girl parts make too many decisions too early on, due to insecurity and a need to feel accepted. You go smart girl.
When you're really ugly, like I am, then its easy to remain a virgin.
You really dont even have to try at all, it just takes care of itself somehow.
I don't hate men, though. In fact, I have very little patience with some feminists (even though I'm a feminist myself), because there are radical feminists who view men as the enemy, which I think is unhelpful and unfair. I do think our society has a lot of problems with how it treats women, but I don't see that as the sole responsibility of men.
I recognise that most men aren't abusers or rapists. I also recognise that men are sometimes the victims of abuse and rape, and I think it's a damn shame that it can be difficult for male survivors to find services and space in abuse shelters. The way our society treats gender roles hurts everybody.
I hope that clarifies my position. Was there a specific post that you saw as "man hating"? If so, let me know, and I'll either rethink what I said or clarify it.
I don't understand feminists, why be prejudice against half the population of the world because of their gender?
You're no better than a sexist man, in my opinion.
It can be a shitty side effect. I've been assaulted in my life, and I feel bad, but I get scared of men when I'm out around town a lot of times. :/
I know its irrational and make a conscious effort to banish those kinds of thoughts when they happen. I guess it's almost a Pavlovian response, except that it doesn't neccesarily require repition (though I was unlucky enough to encounter 3 "incidents"), but because of the more powerful experience, I suppose it's a more powerful reaction.
I really hope you don't believe him when he says I hate men.
I'm really sorry that happened. It's natural to be afraid, sometimes. I'm not really scared around strangers or friends, but I got jumpy in romantic relationships for a long time afterwards. I'm doing much better with that now, though.
Oh i get why somone would feel like that, i just think it's weak to hold onto it. It also makes you more likely to get attacked again, as predators sense weakness and fear.
To some guys, 21 and a virgin is extremely appealing since most men have this fantasy to have sex with a virgin. So it doesn't decrease your odds with the opposite sex.
I know this sounds like a cliché, but you should only have sex with someone when you feel ready for it. Don't compare yourself to others.
Hell, even if you want to compare, I know plenty of people your age who didn't have sex at that age. They just don't speak out about it as much as non-virgins do. That's why you might feel that you're a little old to be a virgin.
18. Not because I was waiting until legal age, just because it happened to turn out that way. I still wish I waited even longer because the guy I lost it to was a complete ass.
I'm 22 (turning 23 this year) and still a virgin. Somedays I feel like I'm gonna be the real 40 year old virgin(but female). Other days I feel happy that I'm still a virgin. My problem is not that I'm bad looking(because I'm not), I'm just shy and also have no idea where to find men. All of my friends are girls, and all of their friends are girls as well, so I can't meet someone through my friends either.
I was 12 but My girlfriend was 13 she had her period and wanned to se if it felt the same ( she had sex 1time before) but if i didnt had sex that time she Would leave me she Said! And now we have sex every night:)
I lost it when I was 13 to a neighbor boy who was 15 and my parents went on a cruise and his mom was a flight attendant so she was gone and his dad was a business guy so he was gone somewhere so we spent the weekend together and had sex :)
I was 15. Most guys I know don't really care. I don't know many guys in my church that care either. I know a girl who is marrying a guy who has been a member his whole life and the girl is a recent convert. The guy has been a devout Mormon his entire life and the girl... had sex with over 35 people. That doesn't seem to matter to him, nor does it seem to matter to most guys if they love the girl and believe that she is responsible and good for them.
Virgin. Had oppurtunities to change that, though, but the women weren't exactly people someone would want to have.
If you waited till 21 it means you are not easy and some guys have a thing for virgins. Some guys like a challenge.
12/13 at school after a soccer game in the shower along with 6/7 other boys on a dare with the coach out on the gym floor, why we didn't get caught I'LL never know
I was 16... granted it wasn't consensual, but I wish it would have been later in life. It created alot of problems that I didn't yet know how to handle; being so young and naive. I applaud you! :) You'll more than likely know when the times right.
Lost mine at 16, don't regret it at all I love him very much and am still with him:)
I was 16. And it was awful. I thought it would get better but it didn't because he was shit in bed.
I finally started really enjoying sex a year later with my second partner.
I was fifteen the first time I had sex, and I do not regret it. Because of this, I now have a beautiful baby boy who is three, and I would never regret him or the choices I made.
I was 15 (way too young) and my boyfriend said he was 14 (not with me) and he is haunted by it. He was totally ashamed when he took that girls virginity and his own as well. He hates even to think about it. But I would say 18 is a good age.
all the previous comments really make me worry about society! an people.
I'm sensitive so I don't just want to get someones virjity or that crap I want to do it for love ps the signs work I'm sensitive shy and a cancer
14 and the girl I was with was at a different school, sone Roman Catholic school near by. Both our parents were home so we decided to do it on the playground structure (no one around, it was Saturday)..it was great untill the minister was leaving the building and informed her that he would tell her parents and pray for her. That was the last I saw of her...
Lol i am 17 and i have chosen not to have sex..the smart choice especially when your still in highschool
depends on what you are referring to as virginity. there are a lot of virginity issues when it comes to sex. if you are referring to the normal penis in vagina then i was 18 but i lost other virginity concerning sex very, very, young. i guess about 8. even thought i did not go thru puberty till i was about 11 or 12, i was sexually turned on much, much, younger.
When I was fourteen I finally learned about sex (yeah I'm pretty late ^^). I read a lot about the topic over the years and had my phase of "finding myself" till I was 17 - then I kissed for the first time.
At the age of 19 I had the first time sex (a guy who lived across my apartment ^^) I knew what I wanted and that was the most important thing.
Personally I didn't want a relationship but enjoy it with a man I trust and for me it was perfect. Plus I actually never really carred about being a virgin, I also didn't tell him, why should I?
The whole virgin thing is a big lie, when you are ready you are and then it will be perfect.
(By the way a clue is that you imagine yourself doing it with a person you know or one you have a relationship with.)
For the part is it appealing: Be confident about yourself no matter what and you will ALWAYS be appealing, no matter what you look like!
I'm coming down from the Methylenedioxyethylamphetamine(MDEA, Eve, MDE) high! The comedown is crappy. MDxx chemicals kill far fewer people per year than alcohol. The comedown is shit. Yeah, i'm a virgin, I'm "that loser" who looks good bla bla bla. People always laugh it up at people like me when I was smarter. How do you like me now? Virgin and not a dork. I'm the only one that can brag about getting real Methylenedioxyethylamphetamine, which I choose over MDMA. Sometimes I mix 'em. Never drink booze while on E! I've been awake for so long, it's not even funny! (●)_(●)
E and alchohol killed my friend . Watch yourself and take an antidepressant for the comedown.it helps :)
The best antidepressant for the comedown (and in general) are deprenil/seregiline and a phenethylamine supplement 30 minutes after the seregiline. Also, it's good to take 5-HTP and Tryptophan most of the time (except right when you'll take E). I almost never drink booze. 2-methyl-2-butanol is way better(and safer). I'm considering trying "J". It's BDB. It's the a ethyl analogue of MDA. Maybe even trying it with "Eve"(MDEA) and MDPR.
I didn't have a choice, but I was 7. When I consider the time I lost it by my choice I was 18.
well you have sex too early you become a jerk
too late you're a dork
just have a right time for yourself, when you think you're ready then IT'S TIME!
Virgin, i dont really get the deal if the opposite is a virgin or not. Heck if anything id find someone who knows what there 'doing', not saying go find a whore, but just be sure there is a connection.
19, I'm still with the same guy, though I wish I waited longer (it was exactly two weeks into the relationship) I was the only virgin out of all my female friends and wanted to get sex out of the way so that I didn't feel left out, plus I was treated as a child because of it. I know how ridiculous that sounds now.
I lost mine when I was 20 and now I am 26 and married to the guy that exposed me.
i waited till i was 18 and its still the person i have sex with hes my only partner
13. I wanted to fit in and grow up too fast. I don't regret it because those awful decisions helped me become who I am today.
I do think being a virgin at the age of 21 can be attractive to some. You might attract someone that respects you more than just a sex partner, maybe another virgin (which I'd imagine would be fun experimenting that new world as two newcomers :P ). Even for someone with experience, being with a virgin could be meaningful or even fun. I think it varies from man to man, but there is a little of everything out there. Some men are afraid of being with virgins because they think it will be sloppy or boring or scary. But if you use your instinct or if you explore sexual knowledge, you can swift that idea around and be just as pleasurable as another with experience.
Depends on what you want with your virginity: do you want to lose it, do you want to keep it? But please, just don't depend your dignity on it: virginity and dignity are two totally different things.
I was 18, but I wasn't ready. I wish I had waited a little longer. I know people your age who are still virgins so it's nothing to worry about.
I'm in my late teens and I'm still a virgin. I don't know about my friends sex lives or lack of.
I was 19- my boyfriend had lost his at 14. He said it didn't make that much difference to him that i was a virgin and we are still together 3 years later.
15... it really depends on the guy... if he is religious, he will more than likely love it. if he is sensitive, he will love it... otherwise he will probably just set a goal to take your virginity... and thats all it will mean to him...
I lost mine at 10. Lol had sex almost all the time after that until i was 15. Now im 20 and i havnt had sex for 5 years. No kids no HIV/AIDS.
13& I feel that its good to have sex while your hormones are raging, it's the best time!! hey, it's better than sitting at home watching porn:b
I had sex at 15 years old and I made sure it was with the right guy, I made sure he really loved me and if we did it it wouldn't be meaningless. he was very carefully and slow with me, he didn't rush me and guys actually love virgins so dont worry
I lost it to my first love.
And since we broke up i never had sex for almost a year.
I lost it when i was 16.
