Is it normal most of my friends are a lot younger than i am?

Apart from one person who's been a friend for more than 40 years, all my close friends are much younger than me (I'm 69) - around 40-45 or younger. I have a couple of not so close friends who are around 60, but that's about it.

It doesn't worry me at all and as far as I know it doesn't worry them either: I'm just wondering how common this is and whether younger people on here are friends with old people like me.

          Yeah, it's me. Do you mean youngest female lover? Ummmmm ....... I was about 25 and she was I think about the same age.

              You dill, there have ALWAYS been lesbians, named after the greek island of Lesbos in pre-christian times! Lesbians are even mentioned in the new testament, being condemned on the same basis as gay men.

    well i'm 38 and most of my close friends are 12-16 so I'd say this is perfectly normal

      No, it's not. I was asking about my friendships with adults younger than I am.

      I'm very suspicious of why a 38 yo would want to be close friends with young teenagers
