2 brothers from my school have been letting me hang with them after school but i slipped and said something and now they won't let me anymore. they aren't rich but they are pretty well off and their parents buy them a lot of stuff. i was playing the ps4 with them and i accidentally said this "i like hanging out with you guys. well not you guys but the stuff you guys have is great". i didn't mean to say that but that is how i kinda felt. they told me today i can't chill with them anymore because i was only hanging with them because of the cool stuff they have. i think they're being over dramatic

    Personally, I think it's normal considering the details you described.

    Sorry if this may sound harsh but you were only hanging out with them because of their material things. That doesn't sound like a real friend.

    The worst part is you still don't see how horrible it is and you think they may be overreacting.

    "but that is how i kinda felt." you don't even sound as if you feel remorse...ugh, disgusting.

    You admit that you feel like you are only hanging out with them because of their materalistic stuff?
    To me it sounds like you aren´t a real friend and I´d not hang out with you either.

    At least you were honest about it and they could kick you out of their lives.

    I don't blame them one bit for dumping your ass, because users deserve to be dumped! It's not nice to use people for their "stuff"! Sometimes my mom would tell me certain kids couldn't come around anymore, because she thought they were being inappropriate or she thought they were only interested in my "stuff".

    Thanks for sharing your story. I don't agree with what you did, nor do I agree with your attitude, but I appreciate your story, because it's enabled me to have more gratitude for my strict and sheltering mother!
