My kitty will be sitting on the floor looking up at me on the couch and wink at me. Or, she'll be sitting in my lap or next to me, look up and bam another wink. This is her the other day when I caught her in the act. IIN?
When cats blink at you, or wink their eyes while looking at you, it's actually one of the ways they show affection. Not just domestic felines do this. Big cats do this to each other in the wild. It's one of the ways they greet you or show you love.
Try winking back at her. Sometimes my cats blink back at me.
Ohhh that makes sense. I always watch this show "My Cat from Hell" and he said that if you blink slowly...aka just hold your eyes closed for a few seconds longer then open them, the cat will do it back to you and it's a sign of trust. I guess she half trusts me? haha but thank you, that makes sense. She finally loves me after 2 months!
My cat winked at me before. I find it funny you were able to catch a snapshot of it.
Whoa! I seriously felt like there was a glitch in the Matrix when I saw this post. Cute winkers on the kitty, but totally abnormal. ;)
