Is it normal my children hate me to take their photo?

Since turning about 12, my now adult age children have refused to permit me take a photo of them. They are good looking, and let others take their photos. If I snap a photo with their permission, they make a depressing face and close their eyes. If I try to take a candid photo, they turn their head or block their face with their hand. They refuse to give any reason.

    I never let my mom take pictures of me. I don't send her them either. She's obsessed with Facebook and I hate that she displays every detail of life with strangers. Are you obsessed with Facebook?

          Obeach is right you idiot.. they were 12 and now they are at the age you would call them an adult 16 or 18 or 21 being the legal age of person to be called an adult... she is pointing out that they are older now but still hate their photo being taken...

          Saying "adult age children" is just this person's way of calling them her kids... I got what she said straight away

            minors are not adults you absolute fucking brain damaged walnut. in the majority of western countries assuming op is most likely from somewhere like america/canada/austrlia/UK a 12 year old CHILD is not a fucking adult and is classed as a minor you fucking retard!

              She is saying that they were 12 when they started to hate their photo taken and now that they are the age of an adult.. she just worded it differently and a bit oddly... if you cannot understand that they are no longer a minor there is clearly something wrong with your understanding of things lol

    Social anxiety maybe or maybe you take too many pics idk. Im kind of like that too. Especially if someone videos me I tell them to stop.

    Yeah, I was the same way as a teenager. I still hate having my picture taken.

    Now I have absolutely no pictures of myself from when I was younger & it sucks my balls.

    Take pics of them while they're sleeping or something.

    Sometimes people can just be camera shy, but that can also be about context. Have you ever asked them why they don't like having their pictures taken? It might just be a good idea not to go for candid shots and try to respect their request.

    It's normal but they are just being shy probably. Just get them used to it slowly and don't worry about it mate! That is unless your trying to take dick pics of them of some shit, which you might be, on this site I wouldn't be the least bit surprised...

    This is 100% normal for me. Me, my brother and my sister all had an aversion to the camera. It's fine, they'll grow out of it. In the meantime, you can either annoy them till you can take a pic, or you can snap candids before they notice :)
