Is it normal my cockatiel likes to break my dads iphone case?

Once upon a time my dad was on his iphone while Bing my cockatiel was sitting on his arm. She climbed up onto his arm and bit the case. It is now broken. She still cracks and shreads the case at every chance she gets. My dad doesn't even mind. But she's crazy! Bing will fly to the iPhone and peck it, bite it, and attempt to push it around. It's not like she doesn't like the case, she just wants to kill it or something.The case is literally in two parts.

    It's because her animal instincts tell her that phones are evil. (Ironically I'm on one now.) prolonged usage of phones can cause health issues like brain tumours.

    Is the case white? My cockatiel would get real excited if he saw something white. And if you brought a white piece of paper to him he would bite a hole through it.
    We speculated his sensitivity to the color white was because his mommy may have been white? But I've only seen them with one color pattern. The females are lighter in color right?

      Nope it's black. The females are actually messier and are supposed to be darker in the face. But Bing has a bright yellow face.
