@noid, pineapple in no way traumatizes a dog...? Lol

Dogs do this when they're not getting the proper nutrition. It can turn into a habbit. If you're using a cheap dog food or give him table scraps, stop. Consult a pet nutritionist, usually available for free consults at big chain pet stores. To break the habit, add a little pineapple to his meals- it'll make his poo stink to high heaven for a couple of days but this will discourage him in doing the deed.

Don't let him eat other's dog's poo he can catch a fatal disease by another infected dog.

Dogs do this when they have a bad diet. You need to start feeding your dog properly, there are lots of resources out there that will help you with it =)
    Good luck!

Dogs will eat their own feces if they are malnourished. Maybe you are feeding him food that doesn't have all the necessary nutrients.

Try mixing some pineapple squares into his food. It will make his poo smell pretty rank that he will not be tempted. Make sure to ask a pet nutritionist (i believe some pet stores even make nutritionist consultations for free at times- my local petco has one onsite on weekends). After hopefully breaking the now "habit" with pineapple make sure to keep your dog from other dog's feces. Not only is it unsanitary, but he can get sick (this is another way dogs transmit diseases to each other).

Maybe even check with your vet if he needs to be dewormed since he's obviously been exposed. I use a nonprofit for my vet snpla i believe its called.

This is why I prefer cats, you'd never catch a cat eating poo of any kind!

WTF are you doing with a "newborn pup"? Newborn pups are supposed to remain with the mother dog until they are at least 8 weeks old!

Dogs are filthy, disgusting, unnatural creatures and the only ones on earth (besides pigs) that lap up shit like it was ice cream and even pigs won't eat it unless they're starving. If you take a crap outside, your filthy fleabags will lap up that too! And I'll bet you let your shit-eaters lick you in the mouth and sleep on your bed, don't you?!

Yep, dogs are crazy. If i weren't careful with my dog, she'd eat anything that fell infront of her mouth.

Gross. My dog used to eat her poop. Thankfully, she stopped doing it.

My dog use to just spank them point at the poo and tell them no or smush their nose in it and spank them and tell them no. That should help.
