Is it normal my dogs tumors are shrinking?

My Golden Retriever is 12 years old. She's been developing fatty tumors for a couple of years. To old for surgery to remove them. They aren't really bothering her.
Recently her pancreas acted up and now she's on special diet for dogs with diabetes even though she doesn't have it. It's been 3 months on this food and I've noticed 2 lumps are gone and others are smaller.
is it normal that these tumors are shrinking?
Has anyone else had this experience with their dogs?

Your dog is a alien servant, she will devour you in your sleep.

Yay! No more tumors! At least they're going away rather than becoming worst.

My friend had a cat whose tumours shrank away and eventually disappeared. The vet said it's just one of those things.
