Is it normal my ear hurts when i turn my earrings?

Ok so I got my ears pierced about 8 days ago, and everything seemed fine until about a couple days ago. After I clean my earrings with this solution they gave me and twist them like I'm supposed to, my left ear lobe hurts. Is that a normal thing? On the ear itself there's no sign of infection, redness, swelling, or pus, just pain when I turn the earring.

Yeah, it is pretty normal if you really think about it. You just stuck a piece of metal through your ear and it is naturally trying to heal at the moment but you are not letting it heal the way your body naturally wants to. That's why you have to leave the earrings in for a while so that dirty little hole does not close up like a virgin asshole. It is normal for your ear to hurt a little bit after being pierced. It is a minor injury after all. A self imposed injury. Your body cannot tell the difference though. You will feel some pain from time to time. I had both of my ears pierced in high school and I have experienced similar things you describe. I do not wear earrings anymore though because that would be totally gay. You should only start worrying when your ear turns red and begins to feel hot or you notice a nasty discharge coming out of that dastardly tiny pierced hole. Just keep it clean and keep twisting the piercings like you were told. Most importantly though, keep that dirty little hole clean.

Probably just minor inflammation. Ear piercing today is borderline brutal with them punching a hole in the ear with a gadget. When I was a little girl of about five years old back in 1975 I was at Foley's department store at the Alameda Mall in Houston, Texas and my dad was walking around the store with me while my mom had my baby sister. I saw this booth in the jewelry department where teenage girls were getting their ears pierced so I ask my dad if I could get mine pierced too and he let me. It's a good memory for me, because for some reason I thought my mom would have said no. The piercing lady use a needle, and my ears bled so I thought it was cool.

When we caught back up to my mom and sister my sister saw the blood and cried. It was a good day for me.
