Is it normal my family is mad at me for being responsible?

My family wants me go out of town to visit. I have pets and I can not just aabandon them for 3 days. I feel bad since I have to take care of them and some of them are upset. I have someone but they told ne they hate my cat so I was not planning on bothering them. They say it is becuase I do not want to see them but I tgnk it is irresponsible not feeding animals a few days. Am I messed up? Any ideas I need advice.

    I doubt that they are mad at you for being responsible. From their perspective, it is possible that they feel that you may be using the pets as a reason not to visit because most people would, reasonably, be able to find someone to care for their pets while they are away. It is not an uncommon feat.

    This made me laugh.

    You get an animal you make the commitment to care for them, it's a simple as that.

    Take them to a kennel for three days, there are places who do this everywhere, shouldnt cost you too much money either.

    if you really wanted to see them, then you'd pay a pet sitter to come by once a day, if you can't find any friends to do it.

    You should be ashamed of yourself placing animals ahead of family members. One day, you may need something from those family members and they will remember how you refused to take time away from your pets to visit them. Even if you're too cheap to buy an automatic feeder, you could leave them enough dry food to last three days. If you really wanted to visit your family, you'd find a way.

    You're taking the right course of action by not leaving your pets, but your family must be very hurt, especially if you haven't seen them in a while. Can't you take them with you on your trip to see your family? Or can't you ask around for someone to take care of them? There has to be other options.

    i have a horse i must feed to. i must find cats behind the shop to huntering but the horse doesnt like and only eats the plants from market in the. i will like to buy more horses to make big for eat like.

    Can the pets come with you? Your family cannot expect you to just abandon them if you can't find anyone to look after them.

    Well, when I went away for a week one of my coworkers/friends stopped bye to feed, let out and play with my dog for a bit every day. Other then that I've either boarded my dog or family has watched her. I've gone to family's house to feed their pets when they went out of town. If you do ask this person, they don't have to stick around your cat all day.

    Ever heard of automatic feeders, Dummy? All you have to do is leave them where they have access to food, water and a place to sleep and crap.
