Is it normal my hamster lovessss chewing on her bedding?

i have a roborovskiis drawf hamster named idabele. she uses a mix of beddings clean and cozy, orchid grass, and aspen wood shavings. ive noticed that she likes to chew on the larger/thicker pieces of aspen bedding. she has chews, but does she just like using it more than her other chews? is it because the wood is softer?? does any one elses hamster do this??????/
