I'm 25 and have been married a year. Shortly after our wedding my husband started giving me real spankings, he takes me into our bed room and takes my pants off and then bust my bottom, until i'm red. Sometimes he does it in the car or in the bathroom at church. So is it normal that my husband spanks me?
I agree this is normal and happens in a lot of relationships. Most women are told it's going to happen before and some communication occurs before hand. My husband has been spanking me since two months into our relationship. Only one time in public and it was a quick slap in the backside to let me know to quit my behavior and to let me know when we got home I would get his full attention. We have been together 9 years and the frequency of spankings veries in my behavior. It is more normal than you think. It is O.K. as long as you are agreeable and dont feel you are being abused. In some households it is a normal practice. I believe that wife has to be submissive and every misbehave needs to be punished by belt. Belt is the best teacher for wife. But in case of it being real. I hope it's not too late to tell you that NO.. it's not normal. For majority of people this wouldn't be only considered abuse, it would also be considered some crazy creepy and terrible practice. Normal people don't do this. People who do this are small in number, and they are mainly couples who are into sadism-masochism stuff or BDSM.

"Normal" can mean two things. Is it "common" and is it "acceptable behavior." I believe it is uncommon, but not rare. As for acceptable, it is 100% up to you. In my experience of ALLOWING my husband to discipline me, it can be extremely positive, rewarding, and fulfilling. It all comes down to context - it can be a wonderful thing if done in a truly loving and respectful manner. Of course, in the actual moment of punishmen, I often think otherwise. Ouchie!
