Is it normal my mom drops her phones constantly?

My mom usually takes care of her stuff, but she treats her cellphones like crap. She accidentally drops them on tile floors every day which knocks the battery out. She spills things on them and whenever I touch her phone, it's oily. She says she wishes she could stop dropping them, but I'm starting to think she doesn't care.

When I first got my ipod, I treated it like a baby. Four years later, I don't freak out over dropping it anymore, but I don't do it on purpose.

She's destroyed four phones including a $200 android, and now she's bought an $80 phone and I've witnessed her dropping it twice in the one week she's had it (and I know she's probably dropped it more than those two times.) I'm starting to get annoyed at her carelessness. Is this normal?

she just drops it all the time so she can bend over in front of you to pick it up. She likes when you look at her ass and peek down her top.

I voted yes to Is it normal to get annoyed at her carelessness, not that it's normal she drops her phones all the time. It's weird, I don't understand why she would do it?? Does she use her phone much? Maybe she just doesn't like cellphones but she knows she has to get one because they're useful but then she's pissed at the fact she owns one?

    • Haha, well, that's an interesting explainaton... She doesn't like to buy expensive things and she always talked about how cool and useful her android was, so I don't think she disliked it. The main question was IIN for people to break their phones so much though.

Yeah I know sorry I just voted too fast 0:)

Uhum then I swear I don't get why she'd do it.
I dropped my phone from a first floor once, it survived. But I didn't do it on purpose, I couldn't survive with my phone haha

But yeah, Idunno. My gma owns a phone but she hates it. She says she has it because we forced her (Even if she uses it a lot now! To call her friends!)and I'd say she'd have trouble living without it now, but she still hates it and when she sees me or my siblings using our phone, she will be like "Ah, I'd forbid them all!"

I drop my phone constantly. Maybe your mother is just clumsy like a lot of people who own a phone. Depending on the quality of the phone it will vary on how affected by this. Leave your mother alone as I am sure she is not stupid enough to drop things on purpose. Try helping her instead of making fun of her misfortune. Get her a phone cover or maybe that little string some phones come which to attach to your wrist. I have read stories of people dropping an ipod in the toilet by mistake. Some people also drop this kind of stuff when they take cloth off since it in the pockets.

I treat my technology like a baby cashew. The first couple of times I drop them, I'll have a panic attack and then later I don't get quite as worked up. In terms of your mother, it's her money she's spending. She's wasting it in a sense by being so repeatedly careless with them.

Actually I find this quite normal. I treat my phone like my baby. But I've noticed my friends treat their's like shit. And some people are clumsy as hell.

Calm down. This isn't even a problem.

Clumsy- Lacking physical coordination, skill, or grace; awkward.

And for damaging expensive phones I guess it might be

Blase-Having the sensibilities deadened by excess or frequency of enjoyment; sated or surfeited with pleasure; uninterested because of frequent exposure or indulgence; used up
