Is it normal my new computer does nothing but update all the time!

I cant use my new computer and its starting to bother me. Every-time I open it says its "Updating". I have not been able to use it for a week. Is there a point where updates are suppose to slow down? Since updating 24/7 is not helpful! Its window 8 computer. Is there a way to stop this or will it stop after a point?

Do yourself a favor and install Windows 7. Windows 8 sucks big time. You can disable it. Go to your Control Panel.

There's nothing wrong with Windows 8. My mom can even use windows 8, even though I offered to set it back to Windows 7, which is just as complicated as figuring out Windows 8.
And no, it is not as easy as flipping a switch to disable it. There are programs you have to buy in order to revert it back to Windows 7.

No, don't install Windows 7, your if its been purchased recently, your computer was meant to run Windows 8. If you have anymore issues, take it into a professional.

Updates are what keeps the computer running smoothly. If you took your computer to a repair shop the VERY first thing they are going to do is update everything.

All Windows versions are a piece of shit.

Throw it away and buy a Mac.
