Is it normal my period is 9 days late?

So my period is late which is pretty normal every once in awhile I got my period beginning of January had sex on the 22nd and then got my period on time again end of January into February because my period always happens twice in a month in December-January . Anyways my period is now 9 days late I don’t feel pregnant or look it no symptoms just lateness, I have been stressed because I am a college student and right when I got off my period I failed a test and have been pushing myself extra hard not to mention I got a job and I never really worked before so now I’m always moving around and on my feet. Do you think since I’m stressed and my daily schedule change is what’s making it late? Or could I be pregnant? By the way I used a condom it didn’t break and he pulled out first and then came, sex only lasted not even 10 minutes. What do you think is it normal?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I have been 2 months without a period in he past, I have had some a week late, but since I went on birth control 2 years ago they are always on time.

Go take a test. You can get one or two at Walmart for pretty cheap.

    • I took one this morning it was negative, still no period currently 12 days late. But if the condom didn’t break and he pulled out and the test is negative I feel like it’s just stress because id be 7 weeks pregnant by now.

Probably. Retake it in a week to confirm, I guess. Or if you're really concerned, go see a doctor to see if there's something else happening. Are you on the pill?

        • I’m not on the pill however I feel like I would definitely know if I’m
Pregnant because I’m very observant about my body, I don’t think I’m pregnant I’ve been later than this before

I honestly wouldn't think you are, but then, I'm not a doctor so...

If lateness is a common(?) thing for you, you may need to investigate that. There can be medical issues. I missed mine for 18 months at one point.

But I get the paranoid concern about the potential of being pregnant, even when youre 99.999999% sure...I freaked out after hearing about a girl who got pregnant on the pill, kept getting her periods, had no symptoms other than a little weight gain in her 8th and 9th month, then went to hospital with bad abdominal pains and gave birth. I mean fuck:/

            • Lateness for me is common at least 3 times out of each year and it’s always once I am very late. I hardly have sex so this time it made me nervous but after looking at the circumstances and it’s very very rare for that to happen I’ll try not to worry. Yesterday I felt
Like I was ovulating and checked my app and yesterday was ovulation day for my next cycle so I think I just skipped a cycle but I’ll definitely update you. I took a second test first thing in the morning; negative.
