Is it normal my period vanished after just 12 hours

Today I started my period right on time, I inserted a tampon at 8am this morning, 4 hours later I changed and everything was normal, on the second change the tampon was almost dry, so I replaced it, on my last change moments ago the tampon was clear and my flow had stopped,

Anyone had or heard of a period that just lasted a day? Or will it make a surprise appearance again?

    This is weird but the exact same thing happened to me yesterday 0.o
    I do have PCOS though, so that's normal for me.
    If you're still young irregular periods are fairly normal, loads of stuff can affect your period

      I am in my early 30's and sexually active, I could set my watch with my period since going on birth control 2 years ago, I have completely missed periods, had two in one cycle but never one that just lasted a day.

        I assume by birth control you mean the contraceptive pill, in which case that's not even a real period but just a withdrawal bleed and of course it will happen like clockwork because it's regulated by the hormones in the pill.

            Not necessarily anything to worry about, some people have it their whole lives without symptoms and never even know

              But aren't you saying that a 1 day period could be a symptom? And doesn't it very often lead to diabetes and/or infertility?

    Sorry to break it to you , but unless you are stressed or use drugs(a lot of drugs in fact) it sounds like impnantation bleeding(google it, yyou migth be preggo).

    I suggest you talk to your obgyn, or get a pregnancy test if you are sexually active; light bleeding can occur in the early stages of pregnancy. Hope all's well.

    If you're young this is normal but if it keeps happening you should get it checked out by a doctor.

      My normal cycle is 6 days but for some reason my flow just stopped after 10-12/hours. No cramping or anything just came and went
