Is it normal: needle phobia
I have a needle phobia and hypnotherapy didnt help, i think it mad me more scared (it may work for other people, so dont let my experience put you off). i think the skin & veins scares me to. I also hate my pulse, feeling it feels horrible to me. I realised i had a phobia when i had to have the cervical cancer jab. They managed to give me the first one, but they ended up having to hold me down and my nana coming in :) after that though it just got worse, and i wouldnt let them come anywhere near me, i ended up not having the other ones. when people try to talk about my phobia i cant talk and i just cry. I really dont know how to get over it... Also, i have a problem with a tooth, which i would originally have needed an injection for. I now have to have gas or, if the gas doesnt help, maybe go under a general anesthetic (worst case scenario)... is it normal to be this scared of needles?
