Is it normal normal to always be asked if i am a vegetarian?

I actually would go vegetarian if I could. However I get sick when I don't eat meat at all. I also eat mainly vegetables/fruit and protein. I do drink caffeinated drinks but that's about it. I was always very active and very thin. I do not think we should treat animals the way we do when we plan on eating them. I also think it is unhealthy and unhealthy food means unhealthy people. I do not think we should waste food since it means you killed that animal, plant for nothing! I have seen some shitty people and do not animals think to the capacity a persons brain does. So they are naive like little kids. So they think of things very simply and go by instinct. So I dont value a person more just for being human. That also goes against my belief that all people are equal regardless of the color of skin or religion. Long as they are not hurting anyone not a big deal.

If you want people to stop asking about your food preferences, don't talk about your food preferences unless it comes up. The same goes for your political views, religious beliefs and allegiances to favorite football teams.

There are two times that it's reasonable and polite for others to ask if you're a vegetarian: one is if they've invited you to a dinner party and want to know what to feed you, and the other is if you've just treated them to a long discussion about animal rights. You don't have much control over the first (and why would you want to, since it's very nice to be invited to dinner parties?), but you can control the second to a large extent.

The most polite thing to say about food is "Mm, this is delicious!" If you confine your comments to ones like that, I guarantee few people will have much to say about your dietary choices.

    • I do believe in animal rights but I have said on a few occasions that I eat meat.

The last few sentences of your post confuse me.:S But anyway, I'll avoid being picky about it, and just say that I sort of disagree with parts of this. That said, I'm a vegetarian and I would feel very wrong not being one, it just conflicts with my morals too much. If you want to be a vegetarian, and if it's an option for you, then why not give it a go? I'm not really sure what your question is, especially because the question doesn't seem relevant to the description.:S

But then again, it's not an option for you, based on the first couple of sentences.:S

    Um, what's the question? I'm confused:S?

    • Is it normal people keep asking if I am a vegetarian. People seem to get that idea from me. I have no idea why.

Oh, the description seemed to be going on about something else so I got confused (not hard to do:P). I don't know, I guess it depends how often. I don't tend to want to ask people if they're vegetarian. The only time I can think of being curious enough to ask is if I've known them for quite a while and noticed that they haven't eaten meat, or if they say something which makes them sound like a vegetarian, but aren't completely clear. I don't think it's ever happened, though:S. I can't remember.

So, I don't know. Based on your beliefs, it seems like you'd want to be a vegetarian (if it were an option), so maybe you give off that impression in real life?
