Tests suck. They don't measure shit. I mean look at the sub moronic asses they give drivers licences to.
Don't really know what a real IQ test entails, but I've taken online ones and got a ridiculously low score because of how many questions involved math, which I'm terrible at. If IQ were an accurate measure of intelligence I wouldn't be able to do anything except drool.
Yes its normal, its subjective, you can score higher marks by studying the questions they are likely to ask.
Dr. Peterson can go choke on a dick. he's a fucking charlatan with an inflated ego profiting off of retards. IQ is a dumb concept and ironically the people obsessed with it have lower IQs than they think
IQ isn't what most people think. People can be smart but not have many knowledge, yet people with a lot of knowledge can be kinda stupid, and IQ tests only put one of those to test. Plus you can have more knowledge and interest on different matters. It's normal. People use their brain for a lot more things than an IQ test could ever evaluate.
The data on IQ is pretty solid. It's a massive predictor of success. I think Dr. Peterson (a clinical psychologist, and lecture of psychology at a top university) says it better than anyone. "If you don't believe in IQ then you may as well throw out all of psychology and the reason for that is that the psychologists who first of all developed intelligence testing were among the early psychologists who substantiated the statistical techniques that all psychologists use to verify and test all of their hypothesis."
Also, you can't increase your IQ very much by cramming "IQ test revision", (I believe it's only a third of a standard deviation, five points, you can increase, at the maximum.)
IQ is pretty much as established as evolution at this point. It correlates with the likelihood of going to prison, it correlates with the likelihood of further education, it even goes so far as to correlate between the different levels of further educations and then it goes on to correlate with various form of life success, such as financial success, and high powered jobs. The evidence in favour of it being a meaningful statistic is overwhelming.
ive had some certified dumbass motherfuckers who work for me come up with some great ideas
its not often but it happens
Yeah, it's bullshit. The last time I took an IQ test I got a 38 on it. I think it's definitely a bullshit test. Because I am smart as fuck and no dipshit in a lab coat is going to tell me otherwise!
I have a poor short term memory,
Sometimes made all a's in school but usually had a c average, have not excelled in many things, make less money than any member of my family, cant draw, cant do simple math without counting on my fingers, I ant focus well and overanalyze everything, etc.
And my iq has been estimated as being between 149 and 153.
IQ doesn't mean much in my life. I wish I had an iq of 95 like my mother and brother who each make 3x my yearly wage.
IQ tests are for gauging the intelligence of children. The capabilities of an adult mind are harder to gauge.
Hateful
I could quote some really cliché Einstein meme here, but there's no need.
IQ tests evaluate your ability to pass IQ tests and maybe also your ability to use your brain in other related ways (but not necessarily).
People use their brains for many more kinds of things than an IQ test can measure.
But that's just my uninformed opinion.
