Im a 45 year old guy, no one ever calls me on the phone, no one e-mails me, it seems that no matter how I try and make friends, I cant, is there anyone out there who cares.

    Perfectly normal. Not meaning to be a downer, but there probably isn't anyone out there who cares either.

    The trick is to get out and get a life. Learn to love yourself, learn to enjoy life without needing the company of others. Once you do this, people will be flocking to you.

    Sometimes I feel the same. For some reason it feels like I've always been alienated and more comfortable in isolation. I just don't find friends that I am compatible with. The strange thing is I'd rather be alone because it seems like being around people I just can't relate to doesn't work. Discovering a hobby helps a lot. For me, music is my best friend.
