Is it normal not to shove sleeping animals off of chairs?

You do exactly the same thing I do. Before I move them onto my lap, I tend to wake them up slowly by stroking them or something.

i share my chair with my cat... even when he goes somewhere he's not suppose to like on the table or counter i can't push him off i just pick him up and put him on the floor

When a person does that wait till they are asleep then violently shove them in the floor.

I only do it if they're on my computer chair. Nobody but me is allowed to sit in my computer chair.

I usually never ask my dog to move off the couch if she was there first, just because its sort of the rule in my house that if you sat there first it's your own spot. I've come into my room before and my cat had fallen asleep on my fucking computer chair and I just took my laptop and sat on the ground with it and waited for him to wake up. He's my little prince.

i was at a vet with my mom and i saw an old bird and snook up on it and scared the life out of it(literally) no one noticed

Unless the animal it trained not to climb on furniture and is being disobedient. If that's the case, you should actually catch it and push it off before it has the chance to make itself comfortable.

If it was a dog, I would likely have it trained not to sit on the chairs in the first place if I didn't want them to, or I would politely command them to move their arse! But I wouldn't be mean to them and shove them off of the chair. If it was a cat, I don't know if I would be able to train it so easily, but I would probably just move them if I needed to rather than shoving them off or being mean to them.

My dad always pushes my cats off chairs -.- and if not that, then he will lift one side of the chair so they slide off...
For me, I just sit on the little edge that they leave, and if they wake up then I just pat them and rub their ears
