Is it normal/safe for my dog to eat human toothpaste

My dads wife puts a Dab of toothpaste on her finger and lets her dog lick it...is that safe for your dog?

    NO!!!! It's not even safe for woolen to swallow toothpaste!!! The fluoride is toxic if you ingest it, and can be VERY harmful in large amounts!!!

    No, it can build up in their internal organs and cause kidney failure. Tooth paste should not be consumed!

    It isnt good for humans to eat toothpaste not that dangerous though unless its a lot but do not use it for dogs there actually is a toothpaste made for dogs use that instead...

    No! There are allot of ingredients in it that aren't even safe for humans like artificial sweeteners. If there's Xylotl (I think that's how you spell it) your dog could die! That sweetener is fatal to them!

    I'll be honest, I don't know. But I'd err on the side of caution. I say that as a dog owner who has seen a reaction to dried fruit. Sounds like nothing, but it was the scariest thing I've experienced with an animal that was in my care.
