Is it normal someone would say its bad you dance like mj?

I been told on more than one occasion and by more than one person I dance like MJ(Micheal Jackson). However people always said that was a bad thing. MJ went down as one of the best dancers in history. So why would dancing like him be bad? I also use to love watching MJ when I was a little kid and when I was little(early 90s) he use to be on TV a lot.

    It's all about context and if you have the image to pull that off, like any kind of entertainment, I love Kendrick Lamar and he's a well respected rapper but I shouldn't try to rap like him, on the other hand, if you enjoy dancing like mj then moonwalk away from the haters

    That's not normal at all. Michael Jackson was a fucking beast of a dancer, it sounds like quite the ego-boost to me.
