I use the calculater on my phone. I add everything up so I know exactly how much I need when I get to the till. It's better to do that than to over spend to be embarrased when you get tot the cashier. xx
I'm from the same batch, but as a computer scientist I quickly adopt new tech.
Plus my phones calculator is far more advanced than the TI graphical calculators.
Plus I never buy something in a store without checking the online prices with my phone. I only buy something in a store when it is cheaper.
Or better this decides if I buy it in a store or not:
((storePrice-deliveryCost)*rareItemFactor))<=(onlinePrice+patienceCost*(deliveryTime^deliveryFactor))
With usually but depending on mood and item:
rareItemFactor = 1;
patienceCost = 1.5;
deliveryFactor = 1.8;
you are certainly not normal. I can't remember the last time I walked into a store and saw someone next to a shelf tapping away on their calculator.
Don't be normal! what you are doing is making better decisions than the rest of us who walk in there and become victims to all sorts of psychologically-manipulative pricing schemes! They count on the fact that the average shopper is pathetic at maths, and deductive reasoning.
I see no problem with that - I think it's a great idea.
Alot of stores have calculators attached to the handles for shoppers to use here. \
I have heard some of them will actually have a built in scanner so you can prescan and see your total before you reach the cashiers.
It is not normal. Your mobile phone should have a calculator function or app. So bringing a calculator would be a waste of space.
Apart from that smart.
I don't do that but I think a lot of people should. I think you're normal.
I know someone who does that. Do you do that for groceries specifically?
I don't do that, but I think it's a cool idea. I've heard of people doing this before, don't worry.
