Is it normal that 99 times out of 100 i win boy racer duels?

Driving home from work i drive safely, within speed limit and giving enough room between the car in front and my own car.

most days an aggressive driver will drive up close behind me to intimidate me, i then react and a dual ensues. needless to say 99 times out of 100, the aggressor is left embarrased, once a subaru imprezza spun out on a round about, trying to match my speed over it, i was driving an Alfa 159.

I think it's a bit dangerous, given that accidents are both more likely and more lethal at high speeds...

but you can maybe get that same "high" of beating a stupid aggressive driver like that by not giving in and stooping to their level. Let 'em burn rubber, you don't need that crap. You've already proven you can beat them, so let them risk an accident while you sit back and enjoy knowing you won without even trying :P

I think it's pretty normal if you got the right car for it, and I think you do. Those Alfas can be pretty fast, but they're not famous for it. It's a race car in disguise, no one suspects it to be that fast. They can easily outrace a VW Golf GTI for example.

well, no wonder, your'e racing idiot kids with rice burners! my truck could outrun those idiots, and its bone stock from the early 80's! Try finding real cars to race, like a BMW or a Dodge, or even another Alfa. you wont be so tough then!

A dodge?! In the UK Dodge is considered shit. I normally do end up dog fighting with powerful cars as these are the ones that think they own the road, and bully other drivers.

I meant an American Built Dodge, not the little european market econo boxes, but yeah, you'd have to come to the states to face a real Dodge.
I kinda forgot the European market versions are much different then what we have, and had.

I would have gotten my camaro hurst and raced him on a private parking lot. that way we are safe and he can soak in his embarrasment alone. id make his car look like a model t.

oh so your up for a race but in a private car park, talk about be afraid of what people think, be a man and race me on the road which is designed for driving not designed for parking. Your cowardice tells me i would leave you for smoke at the 1st bend......

Knowing the kind of car you were driving does not make a difference to me. If anything, it shows you can be reckless in more ways than one.

I don't agree with this. It would be different if you were only putting yourselves in danger, but since there are lots of other people on the road that have nothing to do with your "dual" I suggest you try getting an adrenaline rush some other way. There's nothing wrong with being competative and liking to have a lot of fun but anything could happen and it would be sad for someone to suffer the loss a loved one due to the fact that you don't like to lose.

I'm sure you'll be awfully proud of yourself while they're stuffing what's left of you in a bodybag because you spun out into a telephone pole.
