Is it normal that a person would put up lost animal flyers for a bird?

Today I was driving home and on numerous lightpoles I see computer paper saying "LOST, Two blue parrots. Reward if found". How on Earth do you expect to get two parrots back? Those birds are smart as hell so they probably flew back to the Amazon by now. Dog, cat, yeah those are understandable. But not PARROTS.

    Someone could've kidnapped them. Maybe they lost them with the cage ? You never know .

    Maybe they will be found flying by an airplane and the captain will stop the plane and go out an get them.

    it may not be common, but i think it's normal to put up flyers for a lost bird. i've seen people do it before and even if they don't get their bird back at least they know they've tried! it's better than giving up, especially if they really loved their bird.
