Is it normal that all of my friends dislike their college?

I just graduated high school last year and I, as well as many of my friends, have started at college this fall. However, none of my friends are happy at their school, and we are all considering dropping out or transferring. Is it normal?

Everyone hates school while they are attending but once they get a job they wish they were back in school.

I guess. I don't like my college either. I feel like I learn a lot more from my hobbies and my part-time job than I do from going to my college. I'm just sitting it out to get a degree, honestly.

Then again, I like how college allows me to have a pretty wide social circle, so it's not all bad. I still feel frustrated because I spend so much time doing unproductive bullcrap, but I vent it by going to bars, drinking too much and pretending to understand what that okay-looking girl is shouting in my ear.

So, how do you deal with it?

The first quarter/ semester freshman year is always rough. They are homesick, whether they admit it or not. Maybe they don't miss their family exactly, but they miss the convenience (food, friends, laundry, easy classes).

They might have entered college without being sure of what they really want.

    That's the trouble.

When you have the power to make something reality, you have the power to unmake it. It shouldn't be like that.

Regardless, it's not normal in my eyes. I very much loved my college.
