Is it normal that an 18 yo girl has never been kissed nor been to-

A party? I mean seriously most teens my age have at least gone to a party right? I've been out with guys plenty of times...we may hug but never kiss nor have sex...in this generation is kind of the norms to do so right? SO MY question is-is normal? Pardon my typos.

  • I am 18 and I've never been to a party either. And I have a handful of friends my age who have not been kissed.

I think it is normal. Sometimes I wonder what I am missing out in when it comes to the whole party scene, but its whatever. I have more important things. Like knitting...XD

Honestly...when I wish I got invited to parties, I go play fallout new Vegas. I'll dress me chick up in a fine ass outfit, make Boone wear a tuxedo, and go video game gambling. I'll go to the tops and pretend to watch performances and drink, and then end the night back at the presidential sweet, where I imagine my other companions and I will have an after party.

Oh my god. This sounds a million times lamer all typed out.

Haha that's hilarious. I used to kinda do the same thing.. except I played GTA4 episodes of liberty city because there's clubs you can go to. I'd get in my lambo around evening, pick up my bros and get drunk in the club. Then get rowdy and eventually pass out. And yeah this does sound lamer after typing it..

      • Indeed. Kind of like your attempt to insult me.

I wasn't trying to insult you. It's just my honest opinion. I mean, you live your life in a virtual environment, doing virtual activities, with virtual people who aren't even real people who chat on the net. They're video game character that don't even exist. It's not a healthy lifestyle. Isolation leads to severe depression. Just sayin`.

          • Just because I dont go to parties doesn't mean I dont have any human interaction. In fact, I spent the last two days sandwiched between people in a stadium and my parents received numerous compliments about "what a cool daughter" they have.

I can be social. But I don't get invited to the typical party scene because I dont hang out with those people. And yeah I enjoy acting out virtual reality parties because why not??

Then it's all good. It's just that's i'm a little skeptic about people on this site. It seems like the trend here is for people to condone and encourage antisocial behavior, coming with weird excuses about how people suck and they prefer the company of animals or imaginary friends, which i find disturbing.

Im a firm believer that social networking makes us anti-social. 10 years from now we'll be dating through apps...

I wouldn't stress over it. Most people you just end up regretting doing things with later on.

I'm 19, been to two parties and don't plan to go to any more. I haven't been kissed outside of spin the bottle. I've always been single. It's pretty common.

Normal. Don't over think it and stress yourself out. I'm sure your time to do this will come. However, you might need some gumption to get out out of your comfort zone and live a little.

Just wait till your ready. I was young when I had my first kiss and went to a party. The party was a bad idea.

  • I was twenty when I done most of those things, eighteen when at a party.

Worst. Experience. Ever. The part played way too much Nicki Minaj, and I was sitting there like "No, no, no, no, no, no!"

I'm 19 and I've never had a boyfriend. I've never even held hands with anyone, so everything else is out of the question.
I don't feel like I'm missing out on much, because that partying stuff really isn't me.
I just think, I'm young and I have plenty of time to do all of those 'first times'. Just make the most of now. My 2 closest friends are exactly the same as well.

At the end of the day, everyone's different, and I like the fact that people should be themselves :)

Anthian, if you're a girl I think I'm in love with you because I love the Fallout games with a passion! I'd do stuff like that too, except it wasn't to make up for not being invited to a party. I just liked using my imagination with video games. It's sad because I don't do that anymore. To the OP, I'm a 19 year old male and I haven't kissed anyone yet. Wanna meet up? ;)

Don't worry about it. I never went to parties, I still don't but that's just not me. It's normal, I know a guy who is 25 and still hasn't been kissed yet but he gets a lot of attention from girls he's just very picky and wishy washy. I mean it's not that big of a deal and you're still young so you have plenty of time to do those things especially in your 20's.
