Is it normal that being artistic is a turn off?

I was dating this nice guy and getting to know him better. We had been on four dates in total. We really clicked and always had a good time together. That was until he found out that I'm an artist in my spare time. He said that it was a turn off and he didn't see us being together in the future. How is painting and drawing so bad? I asked him that but he didn't want to explain and I haven't heard from him since. That was almost two weeks ago. That's his prerogative and all but is it normal?

Draw a picture of him and your foot up his ass, send it via postal service.

What a fucking jerk. You are so much better without him! Don't let it get to you, he's the one with the problem, for sure.

Most people would find that to be a turn-on. It's strange that he'd be put off by it. Perhaps he'd had a bad experience with another girl who was also an artist? Because painting and drawing are awesome hobbies...

Good thing you found out now that he's an idiot rather than later on down the road.

Something bad that was art related might have occurred in his past.

    I find that really strange.

Most people with a creative mind are very open minded and can be quite happy.

  • That's a weird turnoff. I think being some kind of artist is practically a requirement for me.

Because all they do is paint and draw all day

Many jobs require doing the same thing all day, if painting and drawing were what you loved it wouldn't be boring for you.

I find artistic or musical creativity very attractive. Everyone has different tastes, and turn-ons/offs really.

To each his own. It's always better to be clear from the start

I don't know why, but I feel very unattracted to men who can draw and paint. It has been as long as I remember (:note I draw and paint a lot) at the other hand, many other talents attracts me. Guess I'm a weirdo :p I think it's okay for him to think its a turn off, he might think the two of you are too alike or something. Everyone has different preferences and / or fetishes. Another guy who will be perfect for you will find you. Don't worry, everything in time.

Weird. It almost sounds as if he was looking for an excuse to break up with you. He didn't find a good one. Dumb ass. Don't sweat this loser.
