Is it normal that both of my dogs eat bird seeds?

Okay, so several times each day both of my dogs decide to go right ahead and eat the birds seeds that are on my carpet floor. I know they might do it because they could be hungry and such and since they're food isn't laid out that it's okay to ingest bird food? I'm confused because they never really enjoy eating their own kind of food, they like how bird food tastes more?

    My dog tries to eat the bird seed out of the container when I feed my birds, so I think its not too uncommon. Dogs eat some weird things sometimes I guess. XD

    My dogs eat carrots, apples, and any vegetable or fruit that crunches. It's a dog thing.

    It's normal and I don't think it will hurt them. If they eat shit and dead animals, I think seed is ok.

    seeds are high in nutrition and taste nice. dont let your dogs eat too much because that could give them a belly ache and have uncontrollable poop.
