Is it normal that certain music makes me sick?
I listen to music a lot, but two bands make me sick. shinedown and thriving ivory. I love these bands, but something about them makes me want to throw up when I hear them. Is it weird?

I do not think it is normal, exactly, but you are not alone. There are certain bands or songs that make me feel physically ill. Pink Floyd makes me ill (no I would never watch The Wall.) except for the song Learning to Fly. I do not like the song, but it does not make me sick. The song "Wonderwall" makes me sick, as do most songs by The Flaming Lips, Green Day, Journey, Gorillaz, and Foster the People. ("Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People make me physically ill and aggravates my anxiety.) There does not seem to be a pattern, and it is not as if I heard the songs first and then felt ill the second time around. I have never listened to a full Pink Floyd song other than Learning to Fly because the feeling starts immediately.
Also, certain animation makes me sick to the point I cannot bring myself to think or the names because it will evoke images. It is the same thing, but much worse. Again, I have not watched the animation in question. I have just seen images or seconds of the show.
Country, gospel/Christian rock, elvis, and most rap and pop make me feel ill. Sometimes, I've even felt like vomiting.
I like listening to country music when I'm hung over. So I can throw up all over the place!
Depends on emotions and maybe subconscious connections... I'd say mostly normal though.
It might be some kind of allergic reaction, a guy on one of my friends' football team back in elementary school had something similar.
It's your body manifesting physical symptoms from mental or emotional stress.
Hmmm...I don't know. You love it and it makes you feel sick? That doesn't seem right to me.
Sometimes music I DON'T like gives me a headache and makes me want to kill myself though.
when I was young my family frequently traveled to foreign and often 3rd world countries. I used to get sick on these trips due to the food and water differences and now anytime I hear Spanish, Greek, Indian, etc music I get a massive headache and feel like throwing up. My friends think that I'm racist since I dont like other cultures' music, but it honestly makes me physically ill.
I don't think so. Rap music (or anything with a real heavy bass) makes me physically ill.
