So, every time i see my cat i HAVE to pick him up and hug him no matter what. I'm addicted to it, it's just he's SO SQUISHY and fluffy!. Is it normal that i have to hold him all the time, even though it annoys him sometimes?, even to the point where he meows because he is annoyed.?
no offence but he probly sits on your face when you're asleep, for making him meow , cats can be like that :)
Pick your cat up sometimes.. But not TOO OFTEN. Honestly most cats do not like it, you would not like if fluffy suddenly got super powers & started lifting you too.
I've learned that if i ever pick one of my cats up, i make it quick.. Usually just kiss them on the head or gently pet them for 3 - 4 seconds.
My kitten sometimes purr after picking it up, but pretty quickly wants down again.
Don't over do it, cats get easily frustrated

No, I think that's horrible... I love my cat more than anything in the world but I've probably picked them up less than 10 times in the last 6-7 years.
I do it too! my cat never really gets annoyed though she usually purrs as soon as I pick her up,but cats are so lovely so it's hard not to. If your cat gets annoyed just put her down, but really if you are living with another animal you are bound to annoy each other sometimes. Like sometimes my cat knocks my stuff over when she gets too hyper or she shoves her cold nose into the back of my neck when she wants to cuddle and I am trying to do homework. So it's fine plus cuddling cats relives stress as long as you don't pick your cat up for so long that it starts to get really annoyed!
