Is it normal that everytime i have a book/copy in front of me

what i do is tear off tiny pieces from the corner of the page, make little balls out of them and fiddle around with them in my fingers? because the corners of the pages of every single book i own are actually starting to look like my (nonexistent) dog ate them..
