Is it normal that he says he doesn't know how to work his phone?

My boyfriend of 6 in a half years just got a Android cellphone a couple of months ago.He goes on facebook on his cell.I was on line and I chatted him.He didn't respond.I asked him about it and he says he doesn't know how to turn it off when he isn't online.Okay so I took his word for it that he was still unfamiliar with his phone.So I hit him up again on chat and he ignores me again and a couple minutes later he is off.Is he lying to me?I don't own a Android cellphone so I don't know how hard they are to learn.So what do you think?

    You can't even use chat on my android, I don't think it even shows me as being online. I use it when I want to look at facebook in complete secrecy :)

    Ok so your problem is that is has an android powered phone.
    If he went with an iPhone it'd be fine.
    There's an app for that.

    If he is lying I really don't know why he would lie to you but I'm 100% sure he knows how to use his phone. 5 year olds have cell phones today and know how to use it so I highly doubt he wouldn't.

    It may be glitching my iPhone does thus and he has the app which is always on his phone.

    Yeah, chill.
    It could be glitching, his chat may time out if he doesn't use it, or he may have managed to turn it off without knowing.
    He might not receive chat notifications, in which case he won't respond.

    If it's that important he chat to you, teach him how. Problem solved.
