Is it normal that hell kinda fascinates me?

I'm not saying that I want to GO there. No, not at all. It's just that I enjoy looking up peoples' NDEs (Near Death Experiences) that were hellish or watching the I Survived: Beyond & Back episodes that involve it. Don't get me wrong, I do like reading/seeing heavenly NDEs but the hellish ones are so much more... well... fascinating. Mary K. Baxter's book (I think it's called "The Revalation of Hell") digs deep into both it (and Heaven) and the first half of the book is all about it (Hell). Pretty juicy stuff. And everybody likes juicy stuff. I absolutely hate to read anything. But if it's about Hell... I'm already on page 10.

It is an interesting concept but it is highly unlikely that hell exists.

    1) Hell is a fantastic creation of humans.
    2) Heaven is a fantastic creation of humans.
    3) Hell and Heaven are analogous to one another.
    4) Hell and Heaven are in the same place, the human mind.
    5) Welcome home.

I feel the same way but I would rather live in heaven.

I think hell is completely overrated. It's a very intriguing concept though. The book you're reading is highly religious though. If that's your kind of thing that's cool, but as far as I'm concerned there are better written and more entertaining literature classics that describe hell as a much grander place.

I am also fascinated with Hell. I don't want to go in it but I'm curious as to how it appears. I've always questioned the morals and values that humanity has grown up with. Brave New World is actually the most interesting book I've ever read because I question this. Anyways, I keep wondering if Hell is really all fire and brimstone. Shouldn't you be rewarded for following Satan's path? What if you're masochistic, isn't hell then heaven? Furthermore, what if we grew up believing that rape was good, what would heaven be like then? Would it even exist? In conclusion, I ponder the form that Hell takes because there are so many people in this world who have different values that Hell simply cannot accommodate for.

Good points. I don't believe that Hell is an automatic "fire and brimstone" kind of place, initially. I strongly believe that you suffer for a while until the Second Death, which is the fire and brimstone aspect and where your soul is eliminated and you go into non-existence.

Interesting. I believe if we do die a second time that's when we get reincarnated. However, I would love visit Heaven and Hell.

When your dying your brain releases chemicals that send you into an intense dream state. What your so interested in is just religious propaganda.
