Is it normal that i act stupid around most people?

I have a serious problem. I tend to be a shy girl, and I unintentionally act stupid around everyone my age except for best friends. I'm actually really smart and in gifted classes. I say stupid things ALL the time and the people that i'm talking to usually give me a strange look and then correct me and i'll just be like, "Haha, oops!" My tone of voice changes, I slur my words, and I sound a bit like someone with autism. (No offense to autistic people.) Many people try to avoid me and treat me like i'm stupid. I'm 100% fine and speak normally outside of school. Is this just a form of social anxiety? Is it normal?

I'm kind of the same way exept my voice sounds more high pitched and use words such as " like" and "totally " a lot. I think its just a way I've unintentionally found to not get pushed out of conversations when in a large group of people. If they are talking about surfing then I'll say something like "I would like never get on a surf board, it would be totally scary if a shark came by". I know that sharks are rarly seen near the beach I live at and the reason I really wouldn't surf is because I don't have good balance. Then everyone would try to convince me there aren't sharks and that I should try surfing with them. If I said what I really ment about the balance they would all just be like,"oh that sucks".

"Hey guys, I'm gonna piss on this electric fence!"

That's called the Paris Hilton syndrome. You can cure yourself from this disease only after years of therapy
