Is it normal that i always feel nauseous after eating chicken

I come from a family where chicken is a staple, but seemingly every time I eat it I feel incredibly nauseous, occasionally getting stomach cramps. I seem to get an odd metallic taste in my mouth too. I know it's kind of stupid, but it would be reassuring to know if anyone else experiences this too.

I've also had problems with eggs and chicken: my mother told me that as a toddler, I would develop a rash after eating eggs; I also vomited at about age seven after eating chicken for supper, and subsequently have been very careful about eating either. One curious fact: it seems that the amount has something to do with it; I love french toast, pastries, and a certain brand of Chicken Noodle and Chicken Gumbo soup; and have had no ill effects; but, I had a chicken salad sandwich and had one of the worst cases of gas I EVER had, and Italian Wedding Soup at a restaurant for lunch one day, and woke up at two the next morning convinced that I was about to vomit; so I wonder if there is a substance or protein in eggs and chicken that I can't handle in quantity, similar to some people being lactose-intolerant, or having problems with peanuts or gluten?

It could be a lot of things. 1. The meat might not be organic/free range. Commercial companies give their chicken antibiotics and feed them genetically modified grains. If they are free range, they could still be eat GMO crops and/or coming in contact with pesticides. 2. You could be allergic to the chicken itself or something that the chicken cake in contact with. 3. The chicken might not have been properly soaked before cooking and/or might not have been cooked long enough.

i get sick if i don't eat organic meat. it's not about being high maintenance, it's about the nasty way meat is. try watching food inc and you'll see how horrible non organic meat is.

  • It doesn't matter how it's prepared, normally when I eat chicken I get diarrhea two hours later. It's easier to not eat it.... or suffer.
