Is it normal that i always want to be prophecied?

I am so interested in prophets..not like falling In love with them but I really admire them. I want to be like them. Every time I meet them I feel like talking to them about everything happening in my life. Sometimes they just come to me and tell me about the conditions of my life in the presence and future...i really feel safe and comfortable around them but I don't know why. I always wish to hear anything new from them about the things that they see about me. Is this normal though?

The senior pastor at my old church would prophesy over people on occasion. He picked me out one day. Was shortly before I left the church because I couldn't stand his money grubbing, self serving ways.

I don't think he had any connection with a higher being. I think he made shit up so he felt special and couls convince the gullible that he was more important than he was.

Is that one of those things that actually happens at non-denominational Protestant churches like 'speaking in tongues'?

Ours was a "Uniting" church. Combination of Methodist and something else i forget. Idk if that's a thing in the US. I believe the y categorise themselves as Charismatic. I forget what that actually means in terms of churches. But it sure sounds sleazy :D

There is no evidence supporting this.
