Is it normal that i am a girl who loves gore and snuff films?

I am a female who LOVES and collects gore/snuff films/comics. I have collected over the last couple of years an intensive (and somewhat appaling) hundreds of out of print DVDS and books that are mostly themed around surrealism, ultra violence, and graphic imagery. I do not have any violent urges whatsoever, and I feel that it may be because of my obsession. I'm just not sure about whether or not it is acceptable to share this detail about myself with many others...

    Do you know what snuff means? That's real footage of people dying and it is illegal to produce, share or watch. If you can watch that and enjoy it there is something wrong.

    As far as gore, true crime shows, etc.I think it's fucked to be into that kind of stuff, but many people are honestly. People are drawn to the macabre. I like horror movies, but not gore. When I was a teenager I liked it though because I was "edgey." Haha.

    Love Faces Of Death. Good introductory series for people who are getting into transgressive and "snuff" films. The original film is a well-orchestrated blend of staged scenes and found snuff footage. I was able to find a collection of DVDs for less than fifty bucks on Amazon.

    I'm a girl and I'm the exact same! I've mentioned it to my boyfriend before and he acted a little weirded out then changed the subject tbh.

      That's unfortunate, but I understand how you feel. I have friends that I have shared this information with, but more often than not they're freaked out by it. A lot of people can take it the wrong way...
