Is it normal that i am absolutely terrified of getting old?

I don't know why but, i am terrified of getting old and wrinkly. When i see people with wrinkles on there face and hands i seriously almost go into a panic attack. I know it's something that everyone goes through but i think it is repulsive...is this normal?

  • Don't smoke, don't drink, wear sunscreen, sleep early, sleep a lot, exercise, eat healthy, eat fruits and vegetables, drink milk, wear moisturizer, don't stress too much, smile more, be happy and confident, don't do drugs, hmm just a few tips to age more gracefully :)

  • Me too. Actually, I'm also scared my breasts would turn into saggy old tits.

*Sigh* People are so superficial nowadays... Aging should be something that is embraced, not feared.

I'm not quite there yet but for you lot younger than 30, I's sorry I didn't wear sunscreen every day on my face AND the back of my hands. I also wish I'd always worn a hat and never got my face tanned - could always wear make-up.

Thank God I never smoked coz I don't have those horrible lines up from my lips!

One thing that I will tell you - the harder you party, the older you will look. Friends my age that I hadn't seen for years look at least 10 years older than me coz they drank and smoked all their lives whereas I rarely drank - I do a bit more now though :o)

    There's always plastic surgery!

Me too. If you want to stay young use moisturiser. Even if you're a guy.

I understand. I don't want to have saggy boobs and skin hanging from different parts of my body. I think as you grow older you wont care as much. As long as you stay fit and take care of yourself then you'll be fine. The thing I really care about is, I don't want to be a diaper wearing, slow talking, pudding eating old person.

When my hair gets gray I am going to soak it in black tea.

I highly regret not doing as much cocaine as I would've liked.

  • It's something that's common among people in the 30s to 40s range so it’s normal.

But just think of all the things you can do once your old: People will think your wise, you can pretend to be Gandalf, you can tell stories without seeming creepy. The possibilities are endless!

I'm worried about it too, but I have loads of time before I start getting wrinkles luckily:)

But the only thing you can do to make aging more graceful is to look after yourself, and live your life and stop fretting about things you can't change.
