I am terrified of butterfly's I can't stand them and I actually will run away if I see one. And the orange ones are the worst. I also don't like birds but I can tolerate them
I wouldn't say this is normal but understandable. Insects are rather unnatural looking so I can understand where you're coming from. Plus, there was a spongebob episode that showed a butterfly up close and it was pretty scary.

Bees. Killer africanized bees.
The wings are supposed to scare predators? (laughing) What? Do you know why they are colorful? what made them look that way? how did they evolve?
To scare predators eh? Wow. which predators?
What about the pigment inside their wings? how did it get in there? Don't ask me these questions, you can't afford the answers.
It's understandable. I have a fear like it. I'm scared of anything flying near my face. I like butterflies, but the minute they get close to my face, I start to panic:/
I react that way with most insects and spiders. I like birds, but I sometimes get scared when they fly at or above me.
