Is it normal that i am afraid of losing my mom

I am 20 and I get paranoid I guess when my mom is late coming home when I am alone. I am just scared that she will never come back and that something might have happened to her. I am scared that I'll get a call saying shes dead or something...

I am the exact same way about my mom! She gets exasperated with me when she is 5 or 10 min. Late coming home from work and I tell her I was worried that she might've gotten into a car wreck.

I no longer live close to my mum and she's not very well.

        • Perhaps in your next break or something you might be able to see her , but meanwhile is your mother familiar to skype?

Ignore those mocks. I sometimes feel that too, that's because we really do care about them, it's normal, you just try your best to protect her and make her feel she's the luckiest mother on the world :p

I am the exact same. I'm always so nervous thinking that I will lose my mom, and I wonder what I would do if it ever happens. I don't know what I would do! Would I cry instantly? Would I cry later? Would I kill myself?
I try to push these thoughts out of my head, but they are always there. :(

    • Me too I have no idea what I would do if she wasn't there anymore. But I guess these though arent something I can just cast away so I guess I just accept them , and promise myself to seek help if it were to happen and that I couldnt deal with it.

I worry about my mom a lot, And i find it hard to prepare for the "day"
I lost my aunt, my cousin who was 12, my granny and grampy, and i only cried for granny and grampy, but it was because i had known them, so if i'm attatched to my mom, you can imagine how badly i'd break down.

This is normal for many, but learn to deal with it, at some point in time most likely she will pass before you!
