Let's say that I like a girl, and I want to ask her out. Is It Normal that I hesitate and get all nervous when I try to ask her out in person or over the phone, but can do it in a snap without any thinking over texting or Facebook Chat?
It is way normal because physical contact with a person is so frustrating. Texting is just the easiest thing in the world.
Normal because you don't know their initial reaction. Personally, I'd want a guy who has the balls to ask me to my face or at least a write me a letter.

Normal. Its probably because with texting, unlike in person, you guys aren't face to face. And you also can't hear their voice like you do over the phone, so texting and asking her over facebook is a lot easier for you.
