Is it normal that i am obsessive about my books?

I have a lot of novels in my house, maybe 500 or more. recently i started this habit where i cant read another book until i do these things. First i have to write how many pages are left and the percentage of the book i have read at the end of every chapter for every book in my house. Then I have to wrap every single book up in tin foil and place it back on the shelf. Is this normal?

My advice: stop it now! That's a waste of time and life. Ur obsessed with books. I'm obsessed with games. I wish I never got started. Its a waste of the one life I have!... Get out there. Live an adventure.

    I am much like NotFloydzie.
I also collect firt addtions to all of my most admired books. I have even made my basement into a well sized library. It is where I spend most of my time.

Although, I have never heard of wrapping them up in tin foil. That sounds strange, to me.

Is this from the same person as the "covering entire room in scotch tape" post?

If not, there's a pandemic of OCD on IIN. Duck and cover... perhaps with scotch tape or tin foil.

I love my books too, but I've never wrapped them. With some of my books, the covers have worn down because I loved them so much:/ I do try to preserve them. Books are meant to be had for a long time.

Why don't you get a kindle? Also, maybe you have a little OCD if you wrap all of them every night.

I have a Kindle myself. It's only about a year old, but it's way out-dated and it's far easier to read using the Kindle app on the iPad.

Try getting a Nook Color or a Kindle! No need to worry about all that stuff, when you have your library right on a small device!

And PS, if what you were saying is really true, I honestly think you have OCD.

I have a Kindle but books that I really care about I'll buy the real thing. It's nice holding a real book sometimes.
