Is it normal that i believe in an afterlife but not god?

I believe in an afterlife and in ghosts and that but I don't believe in God. I do however believe in heaven and hell but I think that only because I dont wanna be near any bad people when I die... Wow I'm morbid.

Why not? You can believe whatever you like, surely. Hope you are right, by the way!

I'm about the same. I fully believe in God, but I just can't grasp the concept of how a Heaven and Hell would work. I think it probably exists, but i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't, and God just said they existed for the same reason parents lie to their children all the time, to get them to do what they know is right. But on the other hand, would God lie to us, even for this reason. i don't even think it's justifiable for parents to lie to their kids to make them do something.

Any person who answered this question is Unenlightened.

    The question is unanswerable.
Is there a deity? (Please use 'deity' or 'deities' for a general description, rather than the Anglo-Germanic term.) I could answer either yes or no to this question, and be both correct or incorrect. How is it possible to have a belief or disbelief in something that there isn't an answer to?

Please describe the Physical properties of a 'ghost'.

Please discontinue using the Archaic terms pertaining to an imagined region of outer space or a netherworld, as these have been proven not to exist.

Personally, I prefer after-death. This is possible, and actually does occur. This is not guaranteed. This is also the basis for creation, reincarnation and resurrection myth.

People have different ideas about afterlife. This is perfectly normal.

I feel the same way but to some extent. My main view on the afterlife is due to a theory I've been trying to work out.

It's normal in my opinion but then I don't follow any organised religion, and just try to make up my own mind.

It's not a normal belief system to be sure. Most of the people I know who don't believe in any form of god do so for lack of evidence. How you reconcile that with an afterlife, I don't know.

Is it because you see no justice on earth and but have some faith that it's carried out after?

Or is God just something you can't grasp?
